The air concentration of the form alde hyde, benzene, toluene and total volatile organ ic compounds (TVOC) released from synthetic productsw ere de term ined in 5 rooms p laced new furniture to get the pollution levels. The resu lts ind icatedmost of volatile organ ic compounds released from the synthetic productsw ere alkanet, aromatic, esteral compounds. The aromatic com pounds mainly come from the p lywood and joiner board. The indoor air concentration of the volatile organic com pounds in rooms can be remarkably increased by use of the synthetic products.
