Nninerical Nninerical Solutions for Several Classes of Nonlinear Problems CHEN Jin-hai(Computer Software and Theory) Directed by Professor LI Wei-guo Abstract Inexact Newton-Krylov subspace methods for the non-symmetric problems wilh a dominant symmetric part are studied in this paper． For the non-symmetric problems with a dominant symmetric part,a class ofinexact Newton-splitting methods：Newton-splitting minimal residual method,Newton-splitting symmetric LQ method(denoted briefly by N钾non—SMINRES，Newton—SSYMMtO)ale presented by making use of the matrix splitting teclmique．Under reasonable hypotheses，the convergence of these methods is proved．Numerical computations show that numerical behaviors of the Newton-SMD旧正S method． Newton—SSY删LQ method are superior to those of some standard Newton-Krylov subspace methods such as Newton—BiCGSl：AB． Newton-GMRES and Newton．MⅡ哝ES ete．． For large system of linear algebraic equations with the indefinite symmetrizable coefficiellt marx，we present a class of pre—symmetry minimal residual method，briefly called as PSA倒D昧ES-method．The PSMIl≮RES—method is established by first transforming the non-symmetric system of equations into symmetrie ．jv． system system of equations by the pre—symmetry technique，and then milizing the minimal residual Od烈REs)method to solve the symmetric system of cquatiolls and get a new approximation to the original system of linear equations．Theoretical analysis and numerical computations show that the pre—symmetry technique is feasible and behaviors of也e PSMINRES is superior to those of some Krylov subspace methods，which are usual adopted for solving general non-symmetric linear systems，such舔CGS；GMRES ere．， And then Inexact Newton methods for symmetrizable indefmite problems a∞studied in this paper．Theoretical analysis and numerical computations show better performance could be achieved if attentions are paid oR the special struetarc of such class of problems．Newton-PSMINRES method bchav鼯well among Newton-Kr
