Step1 Warming up
任务设计: 1. Watch the video of a basketball game(NBA)
2. show up the pictures of basketball, NBA, and Yaoming.
(设计目的:小组活动,让前后四个学生为一组进行调查和共同讨论各自喜爱的运动项目及其原因,通过对平时喜爱的运动的讨论,让学生在练习口头表达能力的同时也得到更多与课文相关的知识。老师也可以遵循阅读教学的“整体性原则”,给学生介绍一些跟课文相关的背景知识,引发学生的阅读兴趣。)
Step2 Lead-in
任务设计:Have you ever played basketball??Do you know Yaoming ? And What is NBA?
(设计目的:前面已经讨论过运动,由运动引入篮球,学生平时也打篮球,看NBA,对乔丹也很感兴趣,在阅读之前谈论这个话题,是为了在图式理论的指导下,激活学生原有的背景知识,教会他们怎样使已有的知识和理解课文所需要的新知识联系起来,去补充他们所缺少的图式,并在阅读过程中形成新图式,从而使阅读过程事半功倍。)
Step3 Skimming
任务设计:skim “reading” within one minutes, try to understand the general idea of the article.
(设计目的:学生通过略读,可以快速从整体上了解这篇文章的大体内容。)
Step4 Scanning
任务设计:scan “reading” within three minutes.
(设计目的: 经过略读,学生已经大概知道文章的大体内容了,再扫读一遍,抓住细节,即“what, who, when,why,where”。)
Step5. Task-reading
任务设计:Read carefully, and try to answer the following questions
1. Who invented basketball ?
2. Why were Berlin Olympics important for basketball ?
3. What is the aim of basketball?
4. when was the first basketball game in history played?
5. What is NBA?
