Abstract: In t e process of BOF steelmaking in order to figure out t e reasonable a-
mount of alloy addition during deoxidizing and alloying of tapping, t e predicting model
for alloying yield of tapping is developed based on t e know ledge of alloying yield. sup-
port vector mac ine is used to build up an alloy yield prediction model, and t en t e pre-
dicted results are used to calculate t e amount of alloy addition. In t e study simulation
is carried out w it t e practical production data. Results s ow s t at t e alloy addition
calculating model of BOF based on predicting yield is up to t e mustard of practical man-
ufacturing .
