New technology has been continuously applied, used to expand storage capacity and improve the resource utilization of the storage system. Based on the present situation, this paper proposes to establish a redirection framework, embedded in senior storage strategy, to improve the existing storage system storage condition. A custom snapshot strategy has been realized to provide data protection function. There is an in-deep study on several kind of common storage system structure, putting forward two ways of redirection technology: taking inside and outside the band. Focusing on redirection, a detailed analysis of various storage characteristics demonstrates the feasibility of the redirection framework. Taking out-of-band means to realize a redirect framework program, so that the existing system changes can be minimum. Through the agilely embedded automatic streamline configuration, the framework can improve the availability and storage resources utilization. There’s an implementation of an independent redirection framework program, which clearly defines the storage strategy of the embedded interface, can be more agile to support the strategy of symbiosis, and at the same time fully compatible with the existing storage scheme. Furthermore, a custom snapshot strategy has been realized, according to the virtual view way, to transform the original logical volumes into custom disk format, supporting unlimited number of snapshot creations, whose storage performance is not associated with the snapshot number. The results of the tests of the snapshot redirection framework show that the framework complies with the design index and the influence of the existing system is very small.
