Hi, We appreciated the article on Wireless Personal Area Networks IEEE P802.15 in the Bluetooth SIGnal Issue no. 2, Sep99! Now we are wondering how to write a SIGnal article as an update to this article and/or the standards-making work we are doing in the IEEE Project 802.15 Working Group for WPANs. Here are some questions to start the dialog: Q1 Who should we contact and/or work with if we have an idea for an article that the SIGnal Readers might like? Q2 What are the author rules? Q3 The Bluetooth SIGnal Issue no. 2 Article is 383 words. Is the typical word count that is considered? Q4 It appears that the next placement is for the 28 January 2000 issue of the Bluetooth SIGnal or Issue no. 4. When is/was the deadline for the Issue no. 4? When is no. 5 scheduled? Q5 Do you have themes for each of the up and coming Issues? Best Regards, -- Ian Gifford giffordi@ WPANs: creating standards for Bluetooth-IEEE WPANs: Issue 2 of the Bluetooth SIGnal [1] introduced the cooperative effort now under-way between the IEEE [2] 802.15 Working Group and the Bluetooth SIG to derive an IEEE standard based upon the Bluetooth Specification Version 1.0. This cooperative effort has resulted from a convergence of IEEE standards development activities previously underway within the IEEE coupled with the formation of the Bluetooth SIG in 1998 and its subsequent phenomena
