This article gives the definition, location model and function model of MES, and summarize the actual status and tendency of the research of MES. Here puts forward a MES system architecture model of automotive electronics enterprises against the status of Enterprise production management, based on the analysis of the manufacturing sector of automotive electronics enterprises, deeply analyses the relationship between planning level and controlling level. The paper then analyses the functions of the MES and its implementation methodology including the method of Preparing Production planning. Describing Management and Tracking of Work in Process, Introducing the equipment management, Sunmarizing the function and action of the quality control management, and setting up the quality of the planning process. This article constructed a MES system architecture model of Vehicle Electronic based on taking into account the integration and the reconstruction, which including MES application system, MES business platform, MES service platform, data exchange platform. The intergration between MES and ERP, MES and CAPP, MES and shop control systems are discussed. At last, with the demand of MES in enterprises, the FREEWAY-MES archetype is designeded based on MES architecture, which specially achieving the function of BOM Management, Management and Tracking of Work in Process, Monitorng equipment.
