3 3 Research Several Problems of Patriarch Clan System of the Mongol Nationality Major:Chinese Modern History Research Orientation:National Customs and Historical Culture Tutor:Professor Qian Zongfan Postgraduate:Jiang Zhenfei Abstract This thesis is a component of a book with the name “On Patriarch Clan System of Chinese Minority ”which is “The Tenth Five — Year Plan” focal task of Guangxi Normal University.My supervisor,Professor Qian Zongfan,is in charge of this task.As a minority with great influence in Chinese and foreign history,Mongol nationality left abundant historical culture with national characteristics during its exploitation and building of our motherland.At present the research on Mongolian historical culture has become a world knowledge.Although last century Soviet schorlars studied patriarchal and feudal relation of central Asia’ s nomadic nationality ,to study Mongolian culture from patriarchal angle will fill in the blank in domestic academic circles.Thus,in the light of primitive documental data,under the instruction of basic principles of Marx-Leninism and Mao Zedong thought concerning patriarch clan system ,my thesis deeply studies the actual state that patriarch clan system existed in ancient Mongolian society and discusses some problems of patriarch clan system that existed in Mongolian history by wide comparison with other nationalities’ patriarch clan system .The author expects to make preliminary exploration into patriarch clan system of Mongol nationality by means of this thesis ,deepen our understanding of Mongolian history and existing state of Chinese patriarch clan system and be in opening service of casting a brick to attract jade for domestic schorlars to deeply study Mongolian patriarch clan system .The research of Mongolian patriarch clan system is of important realistic meaning for us to critically inherit Mongolian traditional culture ,fulfill the important thought “Three Representatives”,promote socialist two civiliz
