Abstract: tarting from the mechanism of inrushcurrent resulted from excitation of transformers, the
saturation preocess of transformers has been analysed. T hrough theoritical deduction and large amount
of emulation tests, the saturated curren at different sw itchingin angles of the transformer has been ob
tained, and the expirical formulae betw een the saturated current and the residual magnetism, as w ell as
betw een the saturated current and the sw itchingin angle, during demagnetizing stage and residual
magnetizingstage, being estimated, obtaining further the practical calculation formula of residual mag
netism in iron core of the transformers.
