中文摘要曾经大量分布于我国黄河流域的堡寨式传统防御性聚落，作为中国 中文摘要 曾经大量分布于我国黄河流域的堡寨式传统防御性聚落，作为中国 聚落发展历程中一种重要的类型尚未引起学术界的重视，并且其实体形 态在今日之城乡大规模建设中随时面临严重破坏甚至消失的险境。由此 文章便立足于“堡寨”聚落的研究，首先借助史料典籍、地方志书等文 献力量对其发展脉络与社会特点诸方面进行基础性的总结与定位；其 次，选择山西省这一曾经广布堡寨、而今天依然保留有丰富多样的明清 时期防御性遗构的典型地区作为研究重点，以大量的实地调研素材为依 托，从实例分析的角度进行堡寨聚落的比较与归类，总结个性与共性， 从而探得其基本形念特征；在此基础上，文章着重于聚落建筑构成的物 质与精神双重性格表达，分别从外围建构、内部组成、细部处理等方面 对堡寨聚落的空间内涵与文化个性作以深层揭示；最后，尝试性地探讨 了传统堡寨精华的保护与发展问题，并指出其对于如今建筑与规划设计 的启示与现实指导意义。 关键词：防御性聚落：堡寨；设防；层级防御：精神防卫 ABSTRACTAs ABSTRACT As a major type of the traditional defensive settlements，‘Bao Zhai” ramparts and villages showed a widespread distribution over the Yellow River valley in the past feudal society．Today,the remained structures and traditional patterns are faced with the dangerous situation of serious destruction or even disappearance in the extensive construction of towns and villages．But up till now,the academic circles still haven’t attach significance to them，and yet，relevant study is still unsystematic．Under such background，basing on the“Bao Zhai”settlements，the author makes clear the historical evolution，social features，and fixed position firstly, drawing support from the ancient records and local chronicles．Then，the paper selects Shanxi province as research center,where quantities of‘‘Bao Zhai”settlements were scattered previously and lots of historical fortified buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties still exist presently．Depending on these rich and varied on—the-spot materials，it takes comparison and classification systematically to sum up the general and specific traits of them，and thus to get the elementary formal characteristics．Moreover,it analyzes their outer structures，inner space components，detailed arrangement，putting emphasis on the dual expression both of substance and spirit in architecture，to reveal the special connotation and cultural character in depth．Finally,the paper discusses conservation and development of those essence parts，and draws inspirations to enlighten today’S design． Key words：def
