II II Abstrcat This study focuses on Liu Zongzhous political thought with the social context which was filled with kinds of political conflicts and class contradictions and the given academic background which the Neo Confucianism had been in the last phase of Ming Dynasty. For reaching a depth analysis about the specific historical origin of the form about his political thought,the study expounds Liu Zongzhous lifetime and his career experience first,then with it as a starting point to expound his political thought one by one.Besides he constructed his own philosophy with the Shen-Du,Cheng-Yiand Xin-Xing-He-Yitheory, so with the academic background in the last phase of Ming Dynasty, his philosophic thinking will be researched as the theory basis of his political thought. The political thought of Liu Zongzhou didnt surmount the model of the Confucian inside the saint outside the king,by rethinking his political thought the study will have an objective and historical evaluation for exploring the mental gist of Confucian Humanism and excavating the significance and shortage of Confucian moral thought. This study focuses on revealing Liu Zongzhous real thoughts and removing the misunderstanding through in-depth analysis of the source of the form and content of his thoughts.The means of study is reading,contrasting,suspecting,search source and solve doubt.By these means we will reach the core of his political and philosophical thoughts step by step,and restore the original visage of his thoughts for reflecting the positive significance of his thoughts about the contemporary political construction of China.
