RhoA is one of the molecular switch in signaling transduction. RhoA can promote the G1 / S phase transition and cell proliferation. Restricting cell spreading decreases proliferation through the regulation of RhoA activity.RhoA effector and Rho kinase (ROCK), through phosphorylation of myosin light chain and myosin light chain phosphatase activity increase myosin ATPase activity and induce cell contraction. Cell adhesion by ECM (Extracellular matrix) regulate RhoA-ROCK pathway, RhoA and ROCK activity coupled may be an important control point of cell adhesion.On the other hand, the degree of adhesion and cytoskeleton tension regulate ROCK activity. Through increase cell adhesion and cell spreading can increase the phosphorylation of actin , the mechanism can inhibit RhoA activity. In a word，RhoA activity and cell adhesion, cytokinesis, cell proliferation coordination, is closely related. Key words-RhoA; cytokinesis; cell proliferation; cell adhesion RhoA 生物学作用研究进展
