华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract As part of the human social life, Sports embodies a kind of culture, and represents the true spirit of perseverance for human kind. In the new era of 21st century, sports is no longer just a game to play; driving by the force of Market-oriented Economy, the entire sports industry shows itself industrialized, market-oriented and information-preferred; thanks to the improvement of sport game’s competitive and attractive nature, sport game TV broadcasting had become one of the most effective and profitable ways to present the game to the audience, and played an important role in promoting the development of the sports industry. In that context, this paper tried to discuss some legal issues arising from the sport game TV broadcasting. This paper can be divided into four parts. In the first section, two cases had been presented and analyzed for the purpose of introducing the thesis theme; the rest of the section aims at analyzing the necessity of the paper theme. Secondly, this paper is trying to analyze the legal nature of sport game TV broadcasting and come to a conclusion after analyzing international legal protection/regulation cases for the aforesaid genre. Thirdly, this paper aims at making an analysis about the protecting/regulating status quo for sport game TV broadcasting in China, and presenting countermeasures for the same thesis. This is an era of knowledgebase economy, like sport game TV broadcasting rights, the virtual rights are important assets for every unit inside the industry which provide great impetus for the industry’s development. There weren’t much legal study on the sport game TV broadcasting rights, even there were, these researches are not extensive. This paper attempts to make such study in terms of legal protection/regulation for the sport game TV broadcasting rights.
