The sentence pattern: Are they……? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t. Teaching Preparation: 2. Word cards, VCD and CAI. 3. A white card with a hole. Designing for the blackboard: What are they? Are they……? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t. They are …… Steps: Step1. Warm –up 1. Greetings. 2. Sing a song “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”. (Use “sheep, cow, hen, horse” instead of the original ones. T uses word cards to remind Ss. 3. Let’s do. ( Ss do with the VCD.) Game: 心有灵犀。 每组派一名学生,这名学生必须背对老师,面向他这一组的同学,教师举起写有Let’s do部分口令的图片,该组同学据此做动作,背对老师的学生猜口令,最快的组得分。 4. Free talk.
