Abstract As an important part of Police Organization, Police Logistics Management provides guarantee for the smooth fulfillment of police tasks. The role played by Police Logistics Management proves to be more significant at the new era when Police Organization works hard to build new working type. It is as necessary to police work as wheels to cart or wings to bird and it is safe to say the successful performance of Police Organization hangs on Police Logistics Management. In recent years, China has become fully aware of its importance, and Ministry of Public Security is offering mounting support to it. Such examples include subsidizing infrastructure construction of Police Organization in western areas, building distribution system of emergency materials, as well as ensuring nationwide well equipped single policeman. Police Organization at all levels are also strengthening local logistics management, which has made great achievements. However, for the time being, there is still much to be desired. Such defects affect the effectiveness of police work, for which we have to take measures to improve so as to ensure police field operation. Due to the complexity of Police Logistics Management, this thesis centers merely on some prominent problems concerning this topic. With strategic thinking and basic structure, it is my hope that the obligations of Police Organization involving guarding social peace and national security can be fully fulfilled. With core responsibilities of Police Logistics Management in the new era as research objective, this thesis, on the theoretical basis of relevant logistics, presents basic points for improving current logistics management.
