Teaching Objectives
Knowledge aim: Students are able to use the new words and phrases correctly. (down, dialog, ending, shut, superhero, in time)
Ability aim: Students can express their different feelings when they see different kinds of movies.
Emotion aim: Students are interested in using what they have learned to talk about their familiar topics.
Important Points: Use the vocabularies and sentences to introduce different kinds of movies.
Difficult Points: Use the Attributive Clauses (定语从句) correctly to introduce the reasons why they choose the kind of movie.

Step1 Warming Up
T: This weekend, I’m going to see a movie. What movies are on show now? Let’s have a look.
Activity1 (Guessing Time) : T: Just from the movies posters, can you guess what kinds of movies they are?
Ss: comedy, action movie, cartoon, scary movie, documentary
T: (scary movie) Do you like scary movies? I’m too scared to watch them alone. I always watch them with my friends.
(documentary) It mainly talks about a certain subject with plenty of information.
Step2 Lead-in
Lead-in sentences T: Wow, so many different kinds of movies, it’s so hard to choose. Can you help me to decide which one to watch?
Activity2(Advice Time) Ask about three students and make some comments to lead in some new words or phrases.
Possible answers and responses
Comedy / Cartoon-----Sounds great. Make me laugh. Laughing is a good way to relax.
Action Movie-----I don’t mind it. There is always a superhero who is strong, powerful and ready to help others.
Scary Movie-----(humorous) I should ask someone to go with me. Would you like to ?
Documentary-----It might be a good choice. It will give me something to think about.
