Unit 7 Teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. Section A 2 (3a-3c) 王士晓 教学目标 1、知识目标:理解并正确运用本课时的重点词汇,如:tiny, cry, field, hug ,lift, regret, poem. 理解并正确运用本课时的重点短语,如:talk back,by one’s side, keep…from, give …a hug, lift … up, think back. 学会并正确运用“should (not) be allowed to do” 2、技能目标:学会正确、流利有感情地朗读英文诗歌。能运用课文中学过的句型表达自己的观点。 3、情感目标:通过对诗歌的学习和反复诵读,体会母爱的伟大,反思自己在家庭生活中与父母之间的关系。学会感恩,明白父母的合理建议对自己成长的重要性。 教学重难点 1、重点:在语境中理解新单词和短语表达的意思和用法。掌握并熟练运用“Should (not) be allowed to do” 。 2、难点:.朗读感悟,体会诗歌之美。联系实际生活进行反思,不断升华自我。 教学过程:step1. Lead-in Listen to an English song. The woman in my life. Free talk: Class, do you love your mom? What things does your mom usually do for you? When you have different opinions with your parents, how do you deal with that? Show some ways students may do like that. keep silent Talk back step2 Read and think Show the title of the poem, and write it on the blackboard. Mom Knows Best . Listen to the poem. Then the students read the poem and underline the new words and the phrases ,think about the new words and phrases ,try to understand them. step 3.Discuss Talk about what the title means. Read the poem aloud and discuss what the title means with your partner. The title means that a mother always knows what is best for a child, even though the child may disagree with the mother. Read the poem by themselves and talk about the questions in 3b. Show the questions. 1. What did the mom do when the writer was a baby and a small child? 2. Why do you think the writer talked back to his mom when he was seven and nine years old? 3. How did the writer feel when he was a teenager and his mom said “Please be back by ten”? 4. After reading the whole poem, how do you think the writer feels about his mom? Ask students to answer the questions. Check the answers . step4.Read the poem. Divide them into two parts and have a competition between the boys and the
