By the end of the session, most students will be better able to use the tips and steps, and improve their abilities of doing the cloze tests. ⅡTeaching and learning focus: 1.Reviewing and learning the steps of doing cloze tests. 2. Reviewing and learning the tips of doing cloze tests. 3.Practicing the cloze tests . Ⅲ Teaching difficulties: Students may feel it difficult to use the right tips of doing cloze tests. Solutions: a)Helping students understand how to do the cloze tests correctly. b)Presenting the tips through the examples c)Practicing the cloze tests ⅣTeaching aids: PPT ⅤTeaching and learning procedures : Step1.Warming up Greeting the class . Step2.Explanation and presentation Show students the characteristics and the forms of cloze test according to the senior high school entrance exams in the latest years. Review and learn some tips of doing cloze tests, and let Ss do similar exercises in time according to the tips. While explaining each answer, ask Ss to answer the three questions : 1)What’s the answer? 2) How do you do it? 3) What tips do you use? 3. Review and learn three steps of doing cloze tests. Step 3. Practice Ask Ss to do the cloze test by three steps and the above tips, then explain the answers one by one. Step 4. Sum up: How to do cloze (the tips )
