Step 2 Lead –in
Show ss some objects to teach some new words and describe their position with in/ on/ under .Then show some pictures on the screen.Ss remember the words and phrases for a short time. Check them with the whole class.
Step 3 Practice
Ask some ss to practice A:Where’s the...?B:It’s...
A:Where are the...?B:They are
Step 4 Listening
Work on 2a and 2b
Play the tape ,ss try to finish off the exercise.After listening,check the answers.
Step 5 Speaking
Show the sentence structures on the screen. Have ss work in pairs to practice.

Before practicing,give ss an example.Then ask some pairs to act it out.
Step 6 Role—play
Present ss a picture of 2d.Tell them they are going to hear a dialogue between Jack and his mum.Ask them what they can see in this picture.Show ss the exercise,listen to the tape and check the answers.Have ss role—play the conversation.
Step 7 Homework
1. Make up five sentences with in,on,under to describe the things in your room.
2. Preview Section A 3c.
