英语七年级(下)人教版Go for it Unit 10 I’d like some noodles. Section A 西工大附中分校 何萍 Analysis of the teaching material Unit 10 focuses on the different kinds of food and the use of “would like”, and also it presents the way to order the food and learn to make a conversation between a waiter or a waitress and customers. So in this part Ss learn new words about food and also learn the culture in a foreign restaurant. Warming up is a very important part in English teaching. New Curriculum Standard requires that students should get some kinds of information, enlarge their vocabulary, learn about English culture, and develop their communicative skills. Analysis of the students: Students in Grade 7 are eager to get new information. They are interested in the food they would like to have in the daily life. So they must like the topic of this unit. Because they have learnt some about food in Year A, it’s not difficult for them to talk about food. They are familiar with the topic and they know a little about “would like”. It is very difficult for the Ss to make up a conversation between a waiter/a waitress and custom in authentic English. They need some knowledge about eating-out customs and cultures. Teaching aims According to my understanding of the material and students, I establish the following teaching aims: 1.【Knowledge Objectives】Students can learn some new words and phrases. 2.【Ability Objectives】Students can develop their communicative skills. 3.【Moral Objectives】Students can build up their self-confidence and learn how to cooperate with others well. Type of lesson: A new lesson Class period: 40 minutes Important points: 1. Ss learn to use “would like”; 2. Ss learn to use some new words about food; 3. Students learn some listening strategies. Difficult points: Make conversations in a restaurant authentically.
