Teaching Process:
Step 1: Warm up
T: Class begins! Good morning, Class!
S: Good morning! Miss Ma.
T: How are you, today?
S: I am fine, thank you. And you?
T: I am fine, too.
T: What’s your name?
S: My name is …
T: Nice to see you.
S: Nice to see you, too. (Do the communicating exercises with students.)
T: OK, today we will learn Unit 3 At the zoo part A let’s learn and let’s do,
now please turn to page 25. (Write the title on the blackboard.)
T: (Show the pictures of different kinds of animals, and ask the students what’s that?)
T: What’s that?
S: It’s a monkey.
T: You are very clever. Give you a prize. Now look at next picture, what’s that?
S: It’s a tiger.
T: Yes! It’s a tiger. Can you act it out?
Students act the tiger out.
T: Excellent! Let’s clap our hands and give you a prize.
S: Thank you.
T: Look at this picture, what’s this?
S: I know, it’s a panda.
T: Yes, you are so clever. Give you a prize. Now look at this picture, what’s this?
S: It’s a bear.
T: Excellent. Now look at next picture, what’s this?
S: It’s a dog.
(Ask students to look at these pictures and say what are these animals.)
Step 2: Presentation
T: Look at this picture. Do you know what’s this?
S: I know. It’s a giraffe.
T: Yes, you are a clever boy. It’s our new friend. It’s a giraffe. Now please read after me. Giraffe, giraffe是长颈鹿。
