Qi ong Ocean an Fishery Bureau, Qi ong 22624 1, China) Abstract: Using conventional histochemical methods and scanning electron microscope, the egg s rface of mat re oocyte of Pelteobagrus vachelli was observed. The micropyle is f nne-l like and consists of micropylar vestib le and micropylar canal. The opening of micropylar vestib le is abo t 11. 35Lm in diameter while entrance of the micropyle to the oocyte is only abo t 2. 6 Lm. There are plenty of micropores on the s rface near the micropyle. Micropyle might act as an apparat s leading spermatozoa to penetrating an oocyte. Reg lar cord-like str ct res between basal membrane ( the o termost layer of egg s rface) and plasmic membrane ( the inner layer of egg s rface) are fo nd.
