教学目标
知识与技能
1. 能正确运用有关疾病的短语进行书面表达。
2. 能正确地运用should, shouldn’t 提建议。
3. 能听懂有关日常小病的名称及相关话题。
4. 能用should, shouldn’t 结合本课短语描述日常生活小病并提出有益的建议。
过程与方法
1.根据图片或动作猜单词学习新词、短语。
2. 培养学生模仿已有例句造句的能力
3创设情境,来进行听说训练。
情感与态度
通过语言学习,影响学生的自身品格,要学会信任他人、关心他人,为我们的健康生活创建友爱、和谐的氛围。
教学要点
教学重点
have a cold, have a fever, have a cough, have a headache, have a toothache, have a backache, have a stomachache等短语的理解及运用。
教学难点
就日常小病用英语提建议。
教 学 内 容
Step 1 Revision
Greet each other:
T: How are you ?
Ss:… .And you ?
T:I don’t feel well. I have a toothache. ( write the sentence on the Bb and explain it in Chinese, and the teacher do the action that he/she has a toothache.)
Step 2 Pre- listening
Learn 1C:
Present and learn the following new words and phrases about different kinds of illnesses according to some pictures or actions.
Have a cold/fever/cough/headache/toothache/
backache/
Stomachache have the flu
2.Write the illnesses on pieces of paper (the teacher do this job before class),then hand them out to individual students, and the student who got the paper(a kind of illness) do the action. The teacher ask: What’s wrong with you?
S1: I have a ….(give the student some help if necessary)
Then the teacher ask the other student:
What’s wrong with him/her?
S2:He/She has a …
Finally, students practice like this. finish 1c
Step3 presentation
Learn 2:
learn the following verb phrases:
see a dentist drink coffee or tea in the evening
drink enough boiled water lift heavy things
stay in bed have a good sleep
Present the following conversation:
T: I have a toothache. What should I do?
Ss: You should see a dentist.
T: I have a backache. What should I do?
Ss: You should….
The teacher explains the usage of “should” briefly.
Finish 2.
Step 4 While- listening
1 Listen to 1a and answer the following questions
(1) What’s wrong with Kangkang?
(2) What is Betty’s suggestion for Kangkang?
Check the answers.
