He not merely taught me how to write, but inspired I how to think and which was a great help in my thesis writing. Finally, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to those who spend their precious time in reading this thesis. Abstract Economy, policy and culture are the main three activities of the society. Among these, culture tends to be more and more important and becomes indispensable. With the quick and continuous development of our sports, sports culture has interested us much. On the other side, the sports culture, especially western sports culture has been an irreplaceable part of their culture long before. The Olympic Games, which is a platform for the global sports competition as well as sports culture communication, builds up a solid foundation to the global sports culture’s prosperity. How can we lead the global sports culture to develop together? The point is that we should study their different cultural characteristics and fuse them in the end. Today, we are living in an intimately connected society. Though there is still difference in every culture, no one can stop it to be the favorite, and sport isn’t exception. When we go to study the world’s sports development, we usually study all the national culture, traditional national sports even the history of sports itself. It is evident that there is cultural difference between China and Western world. The difference does not only reflect
