To overcome this kind of difficult geological conditions not only the reinforcements in support system are absolutely necessary, but also auxiliary methods are often adopted. Especially the grouting with resin could both achieve the functions of water stop and consolidation. It can lengthen the self standing time and increase the stability of the face. This paper will elaborately introduce the characteristics of the resin material and the application of this technique in Taiwan tunneling.
