(3)扬抑抑格 Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon behind them Volleyd and thunderd; Stormd at with shot and shell, While horse and hero fell, They that had fought so well Came thro the jaws of Death Back from the mouth of Hell, All that was left of them, Left of six hundred. (4) 抑抑扬格 Annabel lee 抑扬格一音步 Thus I Pass by And die As one Unknown And gone---- Tell me not, in mournful numbers, Life is but an empty dream! For the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem. Life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal; Dust thou art, to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul. Not enjoyment, and not sorrow, Is our destined end or way; But to act, that each to-morrow Find us farther than to-day.
