This standard was redrafted in accordance with ASTM D 2274-2001. A checklist is drawn up in Annex A about the section numbers in this standard and ASTM D2274-2001 for the convenience of comparison. Modifications have been made to ASTM D2274-2001 in order to better suit the situation in China. Those technical differences have been identified in vertical single line in the margins of pages on which the relevant clauses are. Technical differences between this standard and ASTM D2274-2001 and the reasons are listed in the table in Annex B There have been the following editing modifications in this standard for convenient use: - concealment of the sub clause 1.2 “The values given in acceptable SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only” in ASTM D2274-2001; - modifications to the expression of repeatability and reproducibility in Chapter 14 “Accuracy” in accordance with Chinese convention. This standard replaced the SH/T 0175-2002 Standard test method for oxidation stability of distillate fuel oil (accelerated method). SH/T 0175-2002 is identical to ASTM D 2274-88 by equivalent.
