the Memories of Peking:South Side Stories Lin Haiyin(1918-2001),the author of the Memories of Peking:South Side Stories,was born in Japanese.She retured Taiwan with her parents in 1921.Later on,all her family moved to Beijing and setled here in 1923.Ti was until 1948 her husband,child and her returned hometown. This is a book which tells us the life of the general family lived in Beijing quadrangle in the end of the 1920s.It includs five short stories.They are Hui An hall,We see the sea to,LanYi aunt,Lv Da Gun son and Dad’s flowers fall off. Lin Yingzi is the main person of this novel,six little girl lived in south of the Beijing’s lane.Xiou Zhen was the madwoman who always stands in lane to find her daughter.She is the first friend that Yingzi to met.
