1. Set up meeting and interview schedule with client sponsor
2. Prepare for meeting by reading latest client business summaries
3. Identify one or two retail developments that will interest the client
4. Review the diagnostic materials, questionnaires, benchmarking data, and global best practices
5. Conduct one-on-one interviews with client team
6. Synthesize and document client perspective
7. Communicate to client sponsor what you heard and potential opportunities
8. Ask to validate perspective in a survey

Tasks:
1. Determine client visit sites with sponsor using the following possible selection criteria:
a. Past Performance
b. Location
c. Sales Volume
2. Prepare your data requests and send to client
3. Ask client sponsor to notify management about the visit
4. Request that the client send interview questions and data requests to the store
5. Organize the diagnostics, data collection worksheets, and interview questionnaires
6. At the client site:
a. Interview selected managers, employees, customers
b. Conduct productivity and/or data studies
c. Observe work/task processes
d. Collect all requested data
e. Document findings
7. Conduct a debrief of high level findings with the client sponsor
8. From debrief, identify client’s high priority issues
9. Document findings, recommendations, approach, and benefits

Proposal Document
Tasks:
1. Collect all notes from survey consultants
2. Determine proposal format
3. Graph and/or chart selected data analysis
4. Write the presentation
5. Review presentation with senior survey members
6. Send draft to sponsor client for review and feedback
7. Refine proposal as necessary
8. Send proposal to surve
