Lesson Plan Student: Grand 1,Senior Lesson type: Reading Dupation: 45 min The analysis on teaching material The topic of this unit is “ music ” , “ musicaltypes ””, band ”The. band that wasn’ist the main reading of this unit. The article introduce the process of how to forming a band. Then, describe the process of the Monkees how to grew a “ fake band ” into “ true band ” , a special process of success band ” . Through studying this text, Ss will aveh a understanding of the musical values , the process of a band to become famous, and the factors if a band want to be successful. The analysis on the learners The target Ss are grade one in senior high school. The basic knowledge of Ss is weak,But they are interested in music,and are willing to participate in activities.They have mastered reading skills preliminarily,but not very deep. Teaching aims : By the end of the lesson,Ss will be able 1.Knowledge objectives to know the meaning of some words and phrases related to the formation and development of a band ,but the usage of these are not required. For example ,popular, lively, attractive, humorous, etc. 2.Skill objectives to master two kinds of reading skills----scanning, skimming. to know the difference between scanning and skimming. 3.Affection objectives to learn about what a band is. to know some information about the Monkees to learn about the important factors to success such as the full love of music, the hard working, the team sprit etc. Important and difficult points : 1. to understand what a band is. 2.to master two kinds of reading skills----scanning, skimming. 3.to know the difference between scanning and skimming.
