Teacher asks students to look at the word cloud, checking student’s understanding of some words and encourages them to talk about historical background such as the relationship between Nazis and Jewish during World War II;T may provide some help if students have difficulty in finishing this task.
To activate students’ background knowledge related to the text and get prepared for this lesson.

Reading for idea
1. T leads students to predict what the story is about with the help of the word cloud and pictures.
To develop students’ reading skill of making predictions.
2. Teacher draws students’ attention to the title, provides background information of Schindler and checks predictions made earlier.
