Teaching difficult points: Apply these words and expressions to the introduction of an experience. 教学过程(表格描述) 教学环节 主要教学活动 设置意图 Step I. Lead-in T invites Ss to have a brief recall of the content of the text, asking Ss to recall the word groups of “my job”, “beauty of nature” and “save people’s lives”, and ask why the topic is “An exciting job”. To introduce the key words and expressions in a topic-related context. Step II. Presentation exercise T guides Ss to classify the key words and expressions into 3 groups: the fact, the experience and the feelings; confirm the theme. T leads Ss to explore the meanings and usage of the key words and expressions both in the text and in other theme- related contexts. Ss follow the teacher’s instruction and try to discover the meanings and usage of the words and expressions. Ss do some simple exercises after the learning of each word or expression, and summarize the writer’s job. To guide Ss to summarize those words and expressions useful for their speech of an unforgettable experience and lead Ss to explore the deeper meanings and usage, aiming to get Ss prepared for the final writing task. Step III. Practice Ss complete a simple exercise about replacing the underlined parts in sentences, using the words and expressions they’ve just learnt. Ss complete a passage about the eruption of Vesuvius with the words or phrases in the box in the correct forms. Ss try to apply their understanding of key words and e
