Teaching Procedures Teacher students Part 1 Tell the difference between subject and object pronouns 1. Ask Ss what date it is today and tell them Christmas is coming. And we’ll stay in a restaurant on Christmas. We can listen to nice music in it. Let’s review the words of Merry Christmas and say out some pronouns. 2. Show other pronouns. 3. Guide the students to read an introduction about Sam and change the repeated words into pronouns. 4. Ask Ss to read out the passage. 1. Say out the pronouns in the song and think about other pronouns. 2. Read an introduction about Sam and change the repeated words into pronouns. 3. Work in a group to check the answers and make a conclusion about the usage. 4. Read out the passage together. Part 2 Tell the difference between possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns 1. Ask whose restaurant it is and guide them to answer the questions in Mary’s and Sam’s identity. Like Mary: It’s my restaurant. The restaurant is mine. Sam: It’s her restaurant. The restaurant is hers. 2. Show them the possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns. 3.
