Analyse teaching content 本模块以“事故”为主题,把语法与事故结合起来,采用启发的教育方式让学生在了解事故的同时,掌握过去进行时的结构和用法。本节课的教学内容是第八模块的第二单元,内容涉及厨师被蛇咬,引导学生运用跳读、寻读等阅读方法来理解课文,了解如何利用手机自救的故事,从而提高阅读兴趣和能力,培养学生良好的阅读习惯。本课的重点和难点是掌握本课的基本词汇,理解含有过去进行时态的时间状语从句的句子,引导学生学会自己妥善处理突发事件的能力,增加自我保护能力。 Ⅱ.Teaching type: Reading and writing Ⅲ.Teaching objectives 1.Knowledge objectives 1). Students can understand the meaning of the following new words : bite ,hide, medicine, climb, throw, fridge, pain, worse, 2). Students can understand the following sentences ① While the snake was lying on the table,Henry quickly picked up his mobile phone and took a photo with it. ② When Henry was trying to find the snake ,his hand began to hurt badly. 3).Students can understand and use the grammar: past continuous with adverbial clauses (when, while) 2.Ability objectives 1).Students can grasp the main idea 、find specific information and understand the sequence of events. 2).Students can describe a story according to the tips. 3.Moral objectives Teach students to know how to do when they are in danger .
