Learning Aims 学习目标
1. Knowledge Aims:
To grasp some useful phrases and expressions.

1) To know about country music and describe it.

The students learn to enjoy music and enjoy their lives.

Teaching Procedures 教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Have a review about the main phrases.Eg.used to, fight over,come to realize,etc.
Step 2 Warm up
The teacher ask the students two questions:
Who is your favorite singer or musician?
Why do you like him or her?
Ss tell others their favorite singer and why. And the teacher can share some singers or musicians with the students,for example Song Zuying,Zhu Zhiwen
Step 3 Discussion and pre-reading
Ask the students to discuss the questions with a partner.
1.Do you have a favorite singer or band?
2. Do you have a favorite song?
3. What facts do you know about your favorite singer, band or song?
After the discussion ,T can ask one S to share ,and discussion in the whole class. After that ,enjoy a music from Garth Brooks ,lead to the passage.
Step 4 While-reading
Fast reading
Read the passage and complete the fact sheet.
Country Music Fact Sheet

A famous country music singer: ____________
The number of records he has sold:___________
Remind the stu dents to look for the key words and underline.
