Methods A total of 82 patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors complicated with diabetes admitted from August 2017 to September 2018 were randomly divided into two groups of observation group and control group according to the random number table method. Each group consisted of 41 cases. The control group adopted routine nursing and the observation group implemented targeted nursing interventions and compared complications， quality of life scores， and satisfaction. Results The observation groups nursing satisfaction rate was 97.56%， and the complication rate was 4.88%， which was better than the control groups 73.17% and 12.20%， the comparison was statistically significant（P0.05）; and the observation groups quality of life scores and blood glucose levels were better than the control group， the difference was statistically significant（P0.05）. Conclusion Targeted nursing intervention can effectively reduce the complications of patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors complicated with diabetes， improve the quality of life， patients are more satisfied， and worthy of application.
