Step I Lead-in
Show some pictures about festivals on the screen and then encourage the students to talk about as much about festivals in China as possible.
Step II Speaking
Now let’s talk more about FESTIVALS, which are meant to celebrate important events and persons. Please think about other Chinese festivals and when they are celebrated.
We have got lots of information about Chinese festivals. Would you like to know something about some foreign festivals?
Step III Discussion
Ask Ss to divide in groups and discuss the Chinese traditional festival, giving them some sentences to talk about it.

Ask several students to read their works.
