It was included as “World Cultural and Natural Heritage(遗产） by UNESCO in Dec 1987. Mount Tai, a typical representative of the Chinese famous traditional mountains, is a mountain with a long history and a special historic status. In 1982, Mount Tai was up into the list of State key scenic spots and was formally listed in the directory of World Natural and Cultural Heritage in 1987. It becomes a precious heritage of human being.  History： Since the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206 BC), Mount Tai, as the royal object of cult(礼拜）, was the venue where past emperors used to worship Heaven and Earth. Countless literati have left inscriptions and steles(石碑） there, giving it the reputation as A Natural Museum of History and Art of modern times. Stone inscriptions Some famous ancient writers, poets, scholars, and calligraphers(书法家）inscribe on stones. Attractions in Mount Tai Located to the north of Tai’an City, the Dai Temple is the largest and most completed ancient building complex of Mount Tai. It’s used to bestowed sacrifices to the God of the mountain. And it was also the first stop for the pilgrims on their way to the holy Mount Tai. The God of Mount Tai ----Shi gandang Standing on the Moon-viewing Peak at the west end of the Heavenly Street, the Moon-viewing pavilion is a good place to watch the sunset. The terrain(地形） here is dangerously steep, with a path between the two ridges. Though its whole course is less than one kilometer, it takes over 1,600 steps to traverse it. The winding mountain path looks like a ladder from the South Gate to Heaven. It is the most difficult part of the climb.? Zhongxi Peak, east of t
