第一课时(Activity 1)
Step 1:Warming up and lead-in
Ask students to answer the following questions.
1.Do you have a computer at home
2.Do you like computer
3.When do you use a computer
4.What do you usually do on the computer
Step 2:Pre-reading
1.Show some pictures to introduce the new expressions in the passage.
go on the Internet,listen to music,watch movies,search for information,do homework,send email,play computer games
2.Teach the students the new words in the passage.
3.Ask the students to read the new words.
4.Guess the meaning of the phrases with the help of the pictures.
5.Read the new phrases.
Step 3:Reading
1.Play the recording and listen to the tape carefully.
2.Play the tape.Let students listen and repeat.Pay attention to the pause and intonation.
3.Let students read the passage,work in pairs and find out the difficulties in the passage,and offer help.
4.Explain the difficulties to the students.
5.Ask the students to read through the passage.
6.Ask the students to match the questions with the people who answer them in Activity 1.
(1)Who can use the computer on Sundays
(2)Who shares the computer with his father
(3)Who has a friend in Australia
7.Check with a partner.
8.Call back the answers from the whole class.

1.Learn the new words by heart.
2.Read the passage in groups.
