Step 1 Warming up
Ask and answer
What are people doing in the picture? (Ask some students to answer the questions.)
-What is he doing now?
-He is swimming.
现在进行时 谓语构成:am/is/are+doing
2.What is he doing now?
He is reading a new book.
3.-What was he doing at 8 a.m. yesterday?
-He was reading a new book at 8 a.m. yesterday .
Step 2 Presentation
1. Look at the pictures and answer the questions by using “was/were + doing”
For example:
