Among the whole characters, Celie, Albert and Shug are most representative. This paper takes the characters’ personalities as the breakthrough point, along with the analytic psychology of Carl Gustav.Jung and literary critique, to display the balanced combination procedures of femininity and masculinity in Celie, Albert and Shug, And Walker’s best expectations are delivered fully and successfully on the cultivation of sound personalities as well as bisexual harmony through those androgynous characters.
