Step 1 Warm up
Greetings.
-- Class begins. Good morning, boys and girls. How are you today?
-- I’m not very well. In fact, I’m a little nervous. Because there are many English teachers, they come to listen my lesson.
Start lesson.
OK. Now, let’s begin our lesson. Today, we will learn Recycle 1. (板书课题)
Step 2 Revision
First, I will ask you some questions. Are you ready? OK. How many seasons are there in a year? Four. Who are they?
Then, another question. How many months are there in a year? Twelve. Who are they? Spell them, please.
Next, review the weather and activities in each season.
Step 3 Presentation
In Zhuzhou, it is spring now. There are beautiful flowers everywhere. But do you know which season it is in Sydney now? Can you guess? (Ss: Autumn.)
Sarah will visit Sydney in April. She asks Stella, a friend there, about the weather. T gives the task of this class: Read the email and answer it.
Step 4 Reading
PPT: the Sydney Opera House→ Sydney → many visitors → the most famous building in Australia
Pre-reading. Read and answer. ①Is it spring in Sydney in April? ② What’s the weather like in April in Sydney?
While-reading. Read the email for 5 minutes.
After-reading. Check the answers.
Explain “the most famous building” in the text. e.g: In Zhuzhou, Shennong Tower is the most famous building.
Step 5 Practice
Ask three Ss to read the email one by one. Then the class read it together.
Group work. Ss talk about and then answer the email. Ask two Ss to show their answers in front of the whole class.
