Performance Objectives:
1. To get to know the rule of the pronunciation of the 5 letters——“a, e, i, o, u” in closed syllables
2. To master the pronunciation of the 5 letters——“a, e, i, o, u” in closed syllables /?/,/e/,/?/,/?/,/?/
3. To analyse the pronunciation of the 5 letters between closed syllables and open syllables in the words and sentences
4. To read and write some new words according to the rule of pronouncing the 5 letters in closed syllables
Teaching Points:
To master and use the rule of the pronunciation of the 5 letters——“a, e, i, o, u” in closed syllables
Procedures (Student Activities):
Step 1: Lead-in
1. Enjoy a song “Six Little ducks”
2. Listen to a story of Six Lilltle ducks
Step 2: Presentation
1. get to know the words with the pronunciation of the 5 letters——“a, e, i, o, u” in closed syllables in the story
2. Work out the rule of the pronunciation of the 5 letters——“a, e, i, o, u” in closed syllables
Step 3: Practice
1. Read some words and put them under the correct sound groups.
2. Play a game: Wear a duck picture with one of the five vowels /?/,/e/,/?/,/?/,/?/ on each student’s head. When some words appear on the screen, the student with the correct vowel stands up and read the word aloud.
3. Read the words below and judge whether the underlined letters pronounce the same. If they are the same, write an S in the bracket. If they are different, write a D.
4 . Read the sentences below and have a competition to see who has the best sounds.Pay attention to the sounds of the underlined letters.
