Methods: Chronic Hp infection in 82 patients with acute cerebral infarction was tested with 13CUREAbreath method. Results: There were 20 Hp positive in 82 acute cerebral infarction patients and the incidence was 238%. And there were 6 Hp positive in 78 in control group, the incidence was 77%（P001）. Conculsion: ① There are much more differences between our study and other studies in our country or other countries. Other studies indicate the percentage of Hp infection is very high, but when tested with chronic Hp infection with 13CUREAbreath test, the results indicate the percentage of Hp infection is lower obviously in both acute cerebral infarction group and control group. Maybe the reason for this is that serologic method is used to test the antibody of HP, such as IgG, IgA, IgM, so the pseudopositive is very high. ② The percentage of Hp infection is higher in acute cerebral infarction group than that of control group. ③ Chronic Hp infection as a risk factor for acute cerebral infarction, there may be several pathogenesis between chronic Hp infection and acute c
