Being a volunteer
Teacher: Sun Qian School: Qingdao No. 34 Middle School
Teaching objectives (教学目标)
Students are able to master the key words: several, satisfaction, joy, owner, journey and understand the passage with these words. At the same time,students are able to read the expanding passage with the same topic.
Students are able to talk their favorite volunteer work and feelings about volunteering.
Students are able know volunteering is a good experience to help others.
Key points and difficult points (重难点)
Students are able to talk their favorite volunteer work and feelings about volunteering.
(设计意图:PCPP阅读教学模式中的purpose(阅读语篇选择的目的),为后续的教学任务明确目标,具有导向性,指引性。)
Teaching procedures:
Task1:Predict the picture.
Task2:Read the passage Students Who Volunteer
Step1:Read Paragraph Two and answer the questions.
1)What does Mario volunteer to do?And why?
How does Mario feel about volunteering?
Step2: Read Paragraph Three and answer the questions.
What does Mary volunteer to do?And why?
How does Mary feel about volunteering?
Step3: Listen and read.
(设计意图:PCPP阅读教学模式中的context(上下文语境),基于文本,上下文语境,展开进一步的阅读讨论,同时关注学生情感教学,体现 “ 学科育人”功能。)

(设计意图:PCPP阅读教学模式中的process(对于阅读语篇的加工),在完成课本上的文本阅读后,选取与课本同话题的课外阅读材料作为拓展阅读,在了解文本之后,加强对文本深层次的理解,让学生谈谈对文章主人公“大连小强”的看法,并适时播放志愿者誓词的视频,升华德育目标,发挥“学科育人”功能。)
