The production STAT4 mRNA and IFNγmRNA was detected by realtime polymerase chain reaction. The relatiohip between STAT4 and disease severity (PASI) was assessed by correlation analysis. The relatiohip between IFNγ and PASI was assessed by correlation analysis. The relatiohip between STAT4 mRNA and IFNγmRNA was assessed by correlation Expression of STAT4 mRNA and IFNγmRNA in psoriasis lesional skin was higher than that in control subject （P＜）.Expression of STAT4 mRNA was markedly positive correlation with PASI(r=，P＜). Expression of IFNγmRNA was negative correlation with PASI(r=-，P=). Expression of STAT4 mRNA was markedly positive correlation with IFNγmRNA (r=，P= ).Conclusion Over expression of IFNγ might be regulated by STAT4. STAT4 might play an important role of in the development and advance of psoriasis。 【Key words】 psoriasis；signal traduce and activato of tracription 4；interferon gamma；realtime polymerase chain reaction 银屑病是一种慢性炎症性增生性疾病，严重影响着患者的生活质量，人群发病率为%～4%，Th1/Th2型细胞因子平衡紊乱可能在银屑病发病过程中发挥着重要的作用［1，2］。信号转导和转录激活因子(signal traduce and activato of tracription，STAT)蛋白家族是近年来发现的一类转录因子，包括STAT1、STAT2、STAT3、STAT4、STAT5a、STAT5b和STAT6等7个成员［3］。STAT家族作为转录因子和细胞因子发生作用的信号通路，是Th1细胞分化的关键调控因子之一，但STAT4在银屑病中的表达情况及其临床意义的研究甚少。本研究采用荧光定量PCR法定量测定STAT4及IFNγ在银屑病患者皮损内的表达及探讨其临床意义，现将结果报道如下。 资料和方法 1.一般资料 20例寻常型银屑病患者为2006年1～6月东莞市慢性病防治院皮肤科门诊患者（进行期），其中男11例，女9例；年龄范围20～
