The registers are described using a fixed format. Below is a detailed expla nati on of the various elements that describe any given register. Register Name: This is the n ame of the register, of which there are four basic types. The first three letters of the register name define the register type and or operation that can be performed. The rest of the n ame simply describes which particular bit of data is in volved. Type Type Register type descripti on “ v” Ad A register which is part of a “ broadcast ” message type. This data is transmitted on t Airbus485 n etwork without the n eed for outside in flue nee. The data is sent at a particular in terval an d/or whe n the status of Airbus485 compatible system hardware cha nges. There is no possibility to request ,broadcast? message types. Although there is no ability to in depe nden tly request the ,broadcast? message data type on an Airbus485 n etwork, the gateway providi ng fieldbus access captures and stores the ,broadcast? data, thereby allow ing the fieldbus master to request (read) the data eleme nts whe never required. Remark !!: Obtaining data from “Adv” type registers is an efficient way of obta ining data and causes the mini mum of commu ni cati on overhead on the obta ining data and causes the mini mum of commu ni cati on overhead on the Airbus485 network.
