CMMI – The Capability Maturity Model Integration, combined the three CMM source models CMM for Software (SW-CMM) v 2.0 draft C Electronic Industries Alliance/Interim Standard (EIA/IS) 731, Systems Engineering Capability Model (SECM) Integrated Product Development Capability Maturity Model (IPD-CMM) v0.98 CMMI for use by organizations pursuing enterprise-wide process improvement CMMI Schedule CMMI–SE/SW V 1.0 was released in August, 2000. CMMI–SE/SW V 1.01 was released in Noverber, 2000. CMMI–SE/SW and CMMI-SE/SW/IPPD V1.02, V1.02d were released in December, 2000 CMMI V 1.1 will be released in December 2001 IPPD - integrated product and process development CMMI Components CMMI – SE/SW: System Engineering and Software Engineering Representations: Continuous or Staged CMMI Objectives: A framework that accommodates multiple disciplines, and is flexible enough to support two different representations – staged and continuous A cohesive integrated model that can be adopted by those currently using other CMMs as well as by those new to the CMMI concept. A common framework for supporting the future integration of other discipline-specific CMMI models.
