Unit 3 Sea exploration Using Language Reading for writing教学设计 课题：Using Language: Express your opinions on sea exploration 课时：2课时 教学目标与核心素养： 知识目标：掌握议论文的写作方法。 能力目标：掌握议论文的文体结构和语言特征，能够独立完成议论文的写作。 情感目标：了解多种多样的海洋生物，体会海洋的美丽与生命的珍贵，增强保护海洋生态的理念和情感。 教学重难点 教学重点：引导学生树立保护海洋生态的意识，形式正确的海洋发展观。 教学难点：能抓住对话要点和说话者的叙述逻辑，在口头表达中灵活运用顺序词；引导学生树立正确的海洋发展观。 课前准备：多媒体，黑板，粉笔 教学过程： Step one: Greeting Step two: Leading-in Lead students to enjoy a short video and ask them to think about a question: Should the sea be explored? 学生活动： Discussion: What are the advantages and disadvantages of sea exploration? (Group work) Then ask some to share their ideas. Finally, lead them to look at PPT and learn some advantages and disadvantages of sea exploration. Advantages: discover new species; detect energy resources; predict potential disasters Disadvantages: plastic waste; overfishing; oil leaking Step three: Reading Listen to the texts and answer questions. What are the two authors’ opinions about the sea exploration ? Answer: Text 1opposed; Text 2 supportive. What is the text type of the two texts? Answer:Argumentative essay. 3. Read the two texts and find the arguments and evidence. Answer: 教师活动：文本整体理解: 理清文章架构 Lead them to check the main arguments主论点, sub-points分论点and evidence论据 of the two texts. Then, lead students to make a conclusion of the structure. Post reading: Thinking: Should oceans be explored? Exploration and mapping of the deep sea would be for the benefit of all citizens —not just in economic terms but in opportunities for unexpected discoveries. But what we should take into account is how to strike a balance between the protection and exploitation of it. Watch a short video which may help them better understand sea exploration.
