His novel brothers describes the experiences of a reorganized family of four in a small town in the south of the Yangtze River, as well as the growth track and life destiny of the two brothers in the reorganized family. Taking the cultural revolution period and the reform and opening up period as the background, the work is divided into two parts. The upper part shows the cruel reality and oppressive human nature during the cultural revolution period, and the lower part shows the distortion of human nature under the reform and opening up wave. This paper mainly discusses the artistic characteristics of Yu Huas brothers from three aspects. On the basis of close reading of the works, it first studies the narrative characteristics of the text, and discusses the carnival text characteristics and the narrators discourse comments from the scene, language and structure combined with carnival theory. Then it analyzes the representative characters in the novel, and finally it makes an in-depth exploration In order to understand the realistic significance of the novel, the theme of tragedy and warmth coexist behind the novel.
